Simrane collections are printed, dyed, and handcrafted by families of artisans with whom they have collaborated since 1970. Simrane thus participates in the transmission and preservation of ancestral and demanding know-how.
The richness of their hand-printed woodblocks is their signature. The most complex designs require up to thirty different block passes. Each block corresponds to a part of the pattern or a color. After meticulous printing, the fabrics are spread out and dried in the open air: the light then reveals the beauty of their colors. Small irregularities on the prints may be visible, proof of their artisanal production.
